Klipwright
Privacy Policy
Effective 7 September 2026. Draft for a product that is not a public launch. This is not legal advice.
Klipwright is operated from Ontario. We handle personal information under PIPEDA and applicable Ontario privacy rules for a small commercial service.
What we collect
Account email, display name, password hash (not the password), Google account id if you use Google sign-in, plan and grant flags, source URLs you submit, Series/Studio prompts and outlines, clip edit fields, Studio minute ledger, and Stripe customer id. We do not store full card numbers.
Why
To run the account, enforce plans, send a confirmation email, ping the operator inbox when a new account is created, process payment, and produce the files you asked for.
Processors
- Vercel — hosts the app and logs.
- Neon — Postgres for accounts, jobs, clips, drafts, and credits.
- Stripe — subscriptions and the Studio pack when billing is on.
- Resend — confirmation mail and the operator signup ping, when configured.
- Google — sign-in only if you click Continue with Google.
- Anthropic — model calls only when that flag is on. It is off in this build.
Those companies may store data in the United States or other regions. That is a cross-border transfer.
What we do not do in this build
No analytics pixels, no ad networks, no sale of personal information, no posting to your social accounts.
Retention and your requests
We keep account and job rows while the account exists. From Settings you can download a JSON export of your account (no password hash) and request deletion; that emails the operator and sets a timestamp — we do not wipe rows automatically. You can also email support@klipwright.com to access or correct your data.
